An essential feature providing development of non-fat dry milk manufacturing at the combine is the modernization of two spray dryers. The period from 2006 to 2007 saw the combine take measures to reorient its production to a two-stage milk drying, replacement of filters for two-stage ones that conform to a EU7 class of air cleaning applied in food industry of the EU Member States; replacement of filters at storage and packing bunkers, complete replacement of pneumatic transport and mixers under main cyclone collectors, replacement of skim milk powder packing line and electrics for computerised milk drying automated control system. The measures taken helped improve quality of the products, their solubility, bacterial index, increase production rate and reduce loses connected with the products taking away by outgoing air.
Skim milk powder perfectly suits for production of foodstuffs, feeding of agricultural animals, manufacturing of feed mixes and fodder products.
The taste of reconstituted milk is similar to fresh pasteurised skim milk. In order to reconstitute skim milk it is necessary to add 1 liter of boiled water with temperature of (40 ±2) °C to 90 g. of a dried product with continuous stirring. Reconstituted milk is ready to use after 10-15 minutes.
